The opening of the TERM 3 events, Liv. Dubai Schools Games Padel championships this season, took place on May 6, along with our sponsors Liv, Mai Dubai, Go Sport, Aster Hospitals and Clinics, we are all witnesses to the sport's continued growth and increased popularity this year, which has more than doubled from last year's figures.
Since it began last season 2021–2022 when 15 schools and 32 players first registered, registrations from schools have increased, and this season there has been a tremendous surge in sign up’s, doubling interest. Due to the size of the venue, we had to place a cap on the number of participants in order to run the tournament smoothly. Within days of registration opening, spaces quickly filled, and within a week, we reached the maximum number of 50 players. As a result, we had to open additional spaces to accommodate 72 players from 24 schools.
We have collaborated with World Padel Academy, our technical and venue partner, who has been a big help and supporter of us since the beginning. From the start of the padel championships last season to organizing a taster session in November, they have shared their knowledge and passion for the game with us, as well as their world-class facility, which has undoubtedly helped us boost interest and attract more schools, making this season a huge success. We hope that this is the start of a long partnership.
Mahit Pabari of GEMS Wellington Academy Al Khail and Aarav Saini of Dubai College became the first team to be awarded the Liv. Dubai School Games Padel Champions season 2022-2023 for the U11 boys category. Mahit Pabari, who scored more points during their game, was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. Hriday Navin and Jaikrit Ganti of GEMS Modern Academy took home the runner-up spot, and Darian Labaf and Leonardo Cassini of GEMS New Millennium School finished in third place.

The winners of the third place were Sofia Rafi and Rosha Shafie from Ranches Primary School.
The School of Research Science, which had multiple teams registered, competed in the U15 boy's tournament during the final hour with high spirits and abundant sportsmanship.
