The best volleyball teams from schools in Dubai competed at Liv. Dubai Schools Games Volleyball Championships.

The top volleyball teams from schools in Dubai have gathered to compete at the Liv. Dubai Schools Games Volleyball Championships at the Al Wasl Sports Club, our venue partner, on the 16th and 17th of May 2023. The two-day event was the first volleyball competition in our portfolio, and it was overseen by our technical partner Ellite Volleyball Academy. It is one of the more recent competitions that Dubai Schools Games had to offer this 2023 season along with our partners and sponsors Liv, Mai Dubai, GO sport, Aster Hospitals and Clinics

It is quite remarkable that the registration turnout was so high that we had to close right away after opening because the space was filled up in just two weeks. We had 32 schools registered with 320 competitors, including three ESE schools, with two of them taking home the top two rankings in the boy’s category. We anticipate that this number will double in the upcoming season.

The top-ranked teams and presumed current volleyball champions, Universal American School and Dubai Boys School-Cycle 3, are represented on the podium. Intense competitiveness and a lot of anticipation for the championship match were enhanced on the opening day of the U17 Girls tournament by high-flying spikers, superb blockers, and amazing servers. The inaugural volleyball championships had a notable effect. Lara Nassar, the tournament's Most Valuable Player, scored the game's final point with a spike for Universal American School to win the first day's volleyball competition. They defeated Al Mawakeb School Al Barsha, who finished in second place, and GEMS World Academy, who won by a kill shot, to claim third place.

The top medallist for the U17 Boys category and presumed as the current volleyball champions of the season 2023 Dubai Boys School-Cycle 3 team. They were one of the three teams that the ESE Schools sent. Overall, it was a memorable game in which we observed incredible skills as the two teams competed for the top spot. Dubai Boys School-Cycle 3 won thanks to an off-speed hit ball that gave them a point against Delhi Private School, who finished in second place. Another member of the ESE organisation, Zayed Educational Complex-Al Mizhar, finished in third place thanks to a winning spike shot.
