The Liv. Dubai Schools Games Badminton Championships took place from June 12 through June 15, 2023, at Dubai Sports World, our venue partner. The competition was run by our technical partner, the UAE Badminton Federation, and was supported by our sponsors Liv., Mai Dubai, GO sport and Aster Hospitals & Clinics. With the enormous increase in interest, the four-day event was a major success, and it is definitely apparent from last season's numbers that increased from the previous season. The number of participating schools has increased from 25 last season with 467 players to 44 this season with 641 players.
These triumphs are a milestone for several of these teams, especially the individual titles they have won. This event is filled with triumph and fierce battle; some of the competitors displayed amazing composure and commitment that led to a well-deserved and for some, a long-awaited victory. There are other athletes who displayed promise with a standout performance that may one day propel them into the international stage.
At some point during the competition, the majority of the players displayed extraordinary physical and mental toughness to deftly outsmart their opponents, which is a testament to their abilities, resilience, and strategic acumen on the court. They were also able to maintain focus to outmaneuver any opponent with impressive performances that show their ability to compete at the highest level.
