These teams ruled and transcended the Indoor Cricket Championships

On June 19 and 20, 2023,  U-Pro, our technical and venue partner for the event, hosted the Liv. Dubai Schools Games Indoor Cricket Championships. As the number of schools that have signed up and the number of players has tripled from last year's six schools with 60 players to this year's 24 schools with 240 players, our sponsors Liv., Mai Dubai, GO sport and Aster Hospitals & Clinics have all seen the growth of the sport that has piqued the interest of school teams. This season is imminent. Due to the accessibility of the infrastructure and amenities that will surely promote sports participation, this shows that Dubai will always be a fantastic destination to organise athletic events.

In addition to those players who are extremely gifted and have remarkable game plans, the competition also included a number of players who are still unpolished diamonds with the potential to dominate the sport with more training and growth. The athletes we watched might soon represent Dubai's future of the sport. As school teams faced off and competed for the title, it was a terrific chance for schools to hone their skills in this new sport. The players were quite excited about the competition, and the interactions were very unforgettable.

Teams from GEMS Founders School and The Indian International School battled it out for third and fourth place in the U11 competition. The GEMS Founders School team defeated their opponent, scoring 31 points to 26 points, to win the game and place third in their category overall. For top and second place in the competition, GEMS Winchester School Dubai and GEMS Legacy School Dubai faced off. With a final score of 40 points compared to the second-place winner's 29, GEMS Legacy School Dubai won the competition thanks in large part to their Most Valuable Player Riyon Lobo, who contributed more points with an 11-point edge.

Dubai Scholars Private School engaged in a battle for third place in the U15 tournament. In the end, Dubai Scholars Private School prevailed and took third place. A very close race between the GEMS Founders School team and the team that won the overall category's championship resulted in the GEMS Founders School team taking second place by a very narrow margin of 2 points. With the aid of Jaidev Gattani, the game's finest player who worked tirelessly to increase his team's point total, GEMS Modern Academy clinched the top spot with a strong performance.
