Par 3 Golf Championships Officially opens Talabat Dubai Schools Games 2023-24 Season

It just took a week to fill the 80 slots for the Talabat Dubai Schools Games Par 3 Golf Championships, which attracted 80 kids from over 35 participating schools, both primary and secondary boys and girls.

The third Golf championship of the season 2023–2024 was held at the Emirates Golf Club, the official venue and technical partner of the Talabat Dubai Schools Games Par 3 Golf championships. It was definitely an unforgettable occasion. More significantly, it provided an excellent facility of international calibre along with a thorough understanding of the sport.

The event gained an advantage with the participation of our new partners Talabat and Al Marai, along with Go sport and Mai Dubai. The giveaways and goodies that were given away during the events also made a big difference, and all of the participants were thrilled to have them there. We are excited to work with them again next season.

According to Afzal Pasha, (Events Co-ordinator for ESM)

“We are delighted to start the third season of the 2023 – 2024 Dubai Sports Games with golf. In this overall School Games initiative, we have 20 sports taking place under the Dubai Sports Games banner in Dubai throughout the season, involving more than 250 schools in Dubai. As many as 35 schools participated in the golf event – with a total of 80 students, aged between nine and 18 playing three balls.

A special thanks must go to our Presenting Partner, Go Sport – with their support of uniforms for event staff, officials, and technical partners. Without this partnership, we would not be able to run these events to the standard we desire. Go Sport also attend and activates at each event. We also thank Emirates Golf Club for hosting and providing technical support for Rules and other golfing matters. Talabat and Mai Dubai water are also sponsors and supporters of the Dubai Schools Games”.

She maintained her ranking by finishing in third place both times and for the second consecutive year, she was awarded the Most Valuable Player in the game. MVP Medals are awarded for the lowest gross score (lowest amount of strokes made) for the round. This year's primary level winner, Bente W from Dubai British School Jumeirah Park, took first place, followed in second place by Yasmeen H. from Dubai British School Emirates Hills.

As we witnessed at the Talabat Dubai Schools Games Par 3 Golf Championship, you will notice that despite being a sport that is dominated by men, it has transformed with time as more and more women are rising to the challenge. The level of competition rises as the game moves into older age groups.
