Dubai, April 20, 2024 - In association with the World Padel Academy as the technical partner and official venue, the annual Dubai Schools Games Padel Championship showcased youthful talent in a competitive setting. Major sponsors in the industry, like EMAHS, Talabat, Al Marai, Go Sport, Mai Dubai, and others, observed the young contestants as they displayed an impressive display of athleticism and expertise.
The competition, which catered to Boys and Girls in U12 and U16 age divisions, provided a stage for up-and-coming players to demonstrate their skills in the quickly expanding sport of Padel Tennis. Amidst the intense matches, a few players stood out, making an impression on the court and scribbling their names in the history of school sports in Dubai.
U12 Girls: With amazing synchronisation and grace, the winning team from Lycee Francais International Georges Pompidou School, consisting of Aya R and Rania R, took first place in the U12 category. The dynamic duo of Shanayaa G and Parisa N from Jumeirah College took second place, and Masmoudi A and Christa I from Lycee Francais International Georges Pompidou School completed the podium. The Lycee Francais International Georges Pompidou School's Aya R was acclaimed as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) for her exceptional achievements during the competition.
U12 Boys: Ethan S and Askmik M from GEMS Jumeirah Primary School were the runner-ups in this category, with Mahit P and Kabir A of GEMS Wellington Academy - Al Khail showcasing outstanding collaboration to win first place. Jumeira Baccalaureate School students Guillaume B and Mohammed M tied for third place. Given his exceptional on-court achievements, Mahit P of GEMS Wellington Academy - Al Khail was named MVP.
U16 Girls: GEMS Metropole School's Chaya M and Alya M put on an amazing talent show in the U16 Girls category. Salomé B and Assya N from Lycee Francais International Georges Pompidou School took second place, followed by Malika Y and Malak Karim S from GEMS Founders School in third. GEMS Founders School's Malika Y won the MVP award for her outstanding play and leadership on the court.
U16 Boys: Jumeirah College's Arnav M and Shrey S showcased exemplary skill and determination to clinch the top spot in the fiercely contested U16 Boys category. Mohammed B and Abdulla B from Emirates International School - Meadows secured the second position, while Arhaan B from Dubai College showcased his prowess to secure the third position.
Padel Tennis is becoming more and more popular among young people in Dubai, and the Dubai Schools Games Padel Championships honoured athletic brilliance while also serving as evidence of this.
