On 6th November 2024, the Midea Dubai Schools Games – Archery Championships took place at the Dubai Club for People of Determination, a venue that exemplified the inclusive spirit of the event. This exciting competition was organized in partnership with the D’Archers Club and the UAE Archery Federation, ensuring a well-run and professionally managed tournament. With a total of 50 registrations from 22 schools, young archers gathered to showcase their skills, competing across several age categories.
The event received generous support from sponsors including Midea, Volkswagen by Al Nabooda, Al Marai, Skiply, EMAHS, and Al Ain Water, all of whom helped create a seamless experience for participants and spectators alike. The thrill of the competition was matched by the high level of organization, making it an unforgettable day for everyone involved.
As the archers took their marks, the energy in the air was palpable. In the U12 Girls category, Aashmin J. from Apple International School emerged as the champion, while Niranjana S. from Gems New Millennium School claimed second place and Shaam Z. from Collegiate International School secured third. In the U12 Boys category, Tharul W. from Dubai Scholars Private School triumphed, with Joshua P. from Iacademy Middle East in second and Arjun A. from Dubai Scholars Private School in third.
The competition continued with the U15 Girls division, where Cambria P. from Dubai Scholars Private School claimed first place, followed by Satvika P. from GEMS Founders School Mizhar and Jingwen Z. from Jumeirah English Speaking School, who took second and third respectively. In the U15 Boys category, Siddharth R. from Gems New Millennium School topped the standings, with Vedhas K. from The Millennium School and Amav S. from Repton Al Barsha securing second and third.
The older age groups didn’t disappoint, with impressive performances in the U18 Girls and U18 Boys categories. Dora D. from GEMS International School – Al Khail clinched first place in the girls' competition, while Myiesha K. from Dubai English Speaking Private College took second. The U18 Boys category saw Ahmet T. from GEMS International School – Al Khail dominates, followed by Ishdeep B. from Dubai Scholars Private School in second and Husam A. from Hemaya Boys School in third.
