Midea Dubai Schools Games 2024: A Netball Championship Celebration of Talent and Teamwork

The Midea Dubai Schools Games – Netball Championships 2024 was a thrilling success, drawing 480 registrations from 48 teams across 22 schools. Held from November 11th to 14th, the competition saw an unprecedented level of excitement, with teams competing in four age categories: U9, U11, U13, and U16. The event continues to exceed expectations each year, with technical support from Pro Physique ensuring smooth operations and a professional atmosphere. As always, the backing of key sponsors such as Midea, Volkswagen by Al Nabooda, Al Marai, Skiply, EMAHS, and Al Ain Water played a significant role in elevating the event’s prestige.

The tournament, which was hosted at the prestigious GEMS Wellington Academy in Silicon Oasis, was nothing short of a spectacle. From intense competition to remarkable individual performances, it was clear that the passion for netball is growing year after year, with the energy and enthusiasm only rising. U11 Category (11th November 2024)

The U11 category kicked off with Jumeirah Primary School clinching the first-place trophy, narrowly beating Arcadia British School, who secured second place. Kent College Dubai finished in third, rounding out the top three. The Most Valuable Player of the U11 competition was Kimira N. of Arcadia British School, who stood out for her exceptional skills and leadership on the court.

U13 Category (12th November 2024)

The U13 competition saw another fierce battle, with Arcadia British School emerging victorious once again. South View School put up a strong fight but had to settle for second place, while Jebel Ali School claimed third. The Most Valuable Player award for the U13s went to Nyla L. of Sunmarke School, who impressed spectators with her dynamic performance throughout the tournament.

U16 Category (13th November 2024)

The U16 category proved to be one of the most exciting of the competition, with GEMS Wellington Academy, Silicon Oasis, taking home the first-place trophy. Kent College Dubai fought hard but had to settle for second place, while Jumeirah College took third. Hanita R. of Ignite School was named the Most Valuable Player of the U16 category, demonstrating remarkable skill and composure under pressure.

U9 Category (14th November 2024)

The final day of the tournament featured the U9 category, where Dubai English Speaking School emerged as the champions. Jebel Ali School was close behind, taking second place, while Jumeirah Primary School finished third. Aurelia N. from Jebel Ali School was awarded the Most Valuable Player for the U9s, a well-deserved recognition for her outstanding contributions to her team's performance.
