Young Minds Impress at the Midea Dubai Schools Games Chess Championship

Dubai, UAE — 4 April 2026
Families, teachers, and students gathered at the Dubai Chess & Culture Club as the Midea Dubai Schools Games Chess Championship brought together some of the brightest young thinkers from schools across the city. The event, held with the technical support of the Dubai Chess & Culture Club, offered children a chance to test their skills in a friendly yet competitive environment designed to inspire confidence and strategic thinking.

Chess continues to grow in popularity among young people in the UAE, and this year’s championship reflected that rise. Students from a wide range of backgrounds — Emirati and expatriate alike — took their seats at the boards, showing remarkable focus, patience, and determination. For many families, it was a proud moment to watch their children compete in a sport that rewards discipline and creativity.

The venue’s professional setup gave students a true tournament experience, helping them build not only their chess abilities but also important life skills such as decision‑making, resilience, and sportsmanship.
